COMPETITOR GUIDE
THE OFFICIAL BJJ TOUR IS INTRODUCING NEW RULES FOR 2024

1.) We will give up to a 0.9 lb. over weight tolerance for all divisions.
2.) White belt juvenile, adult and master will have a consolation match in case you do not make your weight.
3.) All Kid's divisions with a bracket of three of more kids, where for any reason that bracket ends up with only two kids,
the two kids will be fighting each other for the best of three matches.

*** ALL COMPETITORS MUST HAVE VALID ID TO COMPETE ***
It is the parents responsibility to bring valid ID for their child competitors.
( Examples: Birth Certificate or copy, Passport, IBJJF Card, School ID with Birth Date )

Girls and Boys born 2020 - 2012 will compete TOGETHER in their respective belt/weight division.
Girls and Boys born in and before 2011 will compete SEPARATELY in their respective belt/weight division.

White Belt Kids will compete in groups similar in age and weight.
Grey Belt Kids will compete in groups similar in age and weight.
Yellow Belt Kids will compete in groups similar in age and weight.
Orange and Green Belt Kids will compete in groups similar in age and weight.

There are no Open divisions for Kids and ALL White belts.
Juvenile Open is only to middle weight category and up.
The weigh in will be right before your first match.

***CANCELLATIONS ARE ISSUED UP UNTIL THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE MINUS A $20 CANCELLATION FEE**
***CREDITS CAN BE DIRECTLY APPLIED TO A FUTURE EVENT***

***NO MATCH REFUNDS ARE NOT ISSUED IF THE REQUEST IS RECEIVED AFTER THE CHANGE DEADLINE***

If you do not have a match, here are the options:

1) Come to the event, receive a competitor TShirt, win the division by default, and be there to cheer on your team.
For kids ( Under 16 ), we will try to make one or more consolation matches.
If there is an open division, you will automatically qualify ( Blue, Purple, Brown, Black )
2) *Request a credit towards a future BJJ Tour event.
3) *Request a refund, which will be processed shortly after the event.
*The request for refund must be received by Tuesday at Midnight PST before the event.
If you don't have anyone in your division or your division is made up of entirely 1 team, there are no team points awarded.

OPEN DIVISIONS WITH ONLY ONE COMPETITOR ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR MEDALS, CERTIFICATES, NOR TEAM POINTS.

Spectator Fees: Adults $15, Kids (6-17) $10, Kids (5 and Under) Free, Seniors (60+) $10
